The LPE Screening Test is a computerized test consisting of multiple-choice reading questions followed by three writing tasks. The number of reading questions you receive is based on your pattern of answers. The computer will give you slightly more difficult or slightly easier questions (depending on your performance) until it determines your reading level. The number of reading questions you receive does not indicate how well you did on the test. After the last reading question, you will complete the writing portion. The writing portion consists of three writing tasks that you must complete in order.
Students have up to 80 minutes to complete the Screening Test.
The Screening Test is only available in French, German, and Spanish.
Test Results
Your results will be sent to your University of Minnesota email.
