Requesting Accommodations for Language Tests
To request accommodations for a test, please follow the process below:
- Begin by contacting your access consultant. Let them know what language testing exam you will be taking with accommodations (EPT, LPE, LPE Screening Test, ILA, or ACTFL).
- Your access consultant needs to enroll you in the correct testing course in the AIM portal (i.e., if you would like to take the LPE with accommodations, you need to be enrolled in the "LPE course" in the AIM portal for us to receive your request).
- Please submit your request at least 7 days in advance.
- You will receive an email template from your access consultant. You must fill it out and send it to [email protected].
- Note: Some tests are only offered at specific times of the academic year, so it's important to submit your request in a timely manner to ensure you complete the test during the offered test session.
- Once we receive your email template, we will help you schedule your test. You will either take it at the Language Testing Program office or at the DRC Testing Center, depending on your accommodations and the test you are taking.

Test takers who take a test with an accommodation receive a standard certificate, as any test taker would, and there is nothing on it to indicate that an accommodation was provided. Accommodations are provided to extend an equal opportunity to all test takers, of all abilities.
